After a two-year hiatus, the Met Gala is back. There are many new faces from the entertainment industry who have come to the rescue in the past two years.
IANS looks at the stars who made their Met Gala debut in 2021.
J Balvin, the Prince of Reggaeton looked elegant in a black suit with a flower-adorned face mask and suit, while 'Industry Baby" rapper Lil Nas X was seen wearing three Versace gold outfits in one. Kim Petras, a 29-year old German singer and songwriter, wore a Collina Strada horse head gown.
Megan Thee Stallion, Houston Hottie, was photographed in a Coach gown while Chloe and Halle wore Rodarte. Olivia Rodrigo, the singer of 'Driver's License', wore an all-black Saint Laurent bodysuit.
Barbie Ferreira, Euphoria's star, wore a Jonathan Simkhai pearled dress; Evan Mock, the star of 'Gossip Girl,' wore Thom Browne with a infamous mask.
Maisie Williams, the 24-year-old star of Game of Thrones, wore an all-black Thom Browne gown, while Sawetie, the rapper of 'Tap In, wore a sequined Christian Cowan outfit.
Addison Rae, a star of 'She’s All That', wore a vintage Tom Ford dress for Gucci and RosalAa. The 27-year old singer and songwriter wore a Rick Owens. Hunter Schafer, 22-year-old star of 'Euphoria", wore Prada.
These first-timers were stylish enough to catch the attention of veteran Met Gala attendees with their distinctive outfits.
